Living smaller can mean a lot of different things – for some of us, it can be as simple as divesting ourselves of a ton of obsolete tech toys…so with that in mind, if you are torn between your smart phone and a tablet but want to stay connected – you might consider backing this Kickstarter campaign:
This is for a computer that is about the size of a credit card (really) and can connect to things you may already have – like a wireless mouse and keyboard and a flat screen monitor. It is versatile, and if you happen to be techy – it is open source – which means you can figure out how to use it to monitor your solar panels, batteries, and anything else you might imagine.
It is heralded as the world’s first $9 computer – and if that isn’t consistent with staying on budget I don’t know what is.
Anyway, check it out. I have invested in this Kickstarter and hope to play with it and some Arduino circuits to see what kind of mischief I can get into…let me know if you invest – I’d love to hear what you might try to accomplish with this tiny computer!
