Solar, yes – but how?

If you are thinking solar, and also thinking “it sounds nice but how do I begin?” – how about these two projects – which help you to “play” with solar a little bit while also showing you how to build emergency (or even, regular use) lighting…

First, how to build a solar charging station:

This is great for recharging your phone or Kindle while camping or living in a tiny home…

And now, how about some lamps?

I like both of these because of the opportunity to reduce the use of non-renewable energy resources and the creativity you can employ with the lighting if you want to repurpose or reuse stuff.  (I’m thinking jars, colanders, maybe even wine bottles or pretty vases).
