If you are reading this, thank you! I am a sixty-something woman, with a hubby, a dog, two cats and now 3 tortoises (it was 4 but Fili passed away). We are heading into the days where the concept of retiring is no longer “sometime in the future” but right around the corner. I’ve loved through hard times (losing all my belongings twice and starting from scratch; living in a car for a few months with two dogs; nothing so terrible that I didn’t bounce back – but just terrible enough to really make me appreciate what I have).
I am in love with the concepts of tiny living, and just downsizing in general as well as being more “self-sufficient”. We all have too much “stuff” – myself included…and I am trying to divest myself of so much material stuff. In the process, I am finding so many wonderful things that add quality, and use less (less money, less space, less energy, just less).
So as I go on my journey of discovery, I will share… I know there are many other sites that do this, and I hope my voice is different enough to catch your attention from time to time. But if not, no worries, this becomes my little library of cool hacks for living smaller.
My dream is to build a Tiny Home community for the elderly, homeless, and for emancipated youth – creating a community that is a village – providing shelter, food and meaningful occupations for the members of the commonwealth.
Cheers – and remember to reuse, repurpose and recycle.
